Kathryn I. Wert

Kathryn I. Wert, age 95 of Carlisle, passed away November 22, 2020 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born July 14, 1925 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Wagner) Mohler. She was the widow of George H. Wert.
Kathryn was a 1943 graduate of Newville High School, a scheduler for Carlisle Tire and Rubber, she attended Newville Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, crocheting and puzzles.
She is survived by her children, John (Nancy) Wert, Carlisle, Greg (Linda) Wert, Newville, Judith Darr, Newburg, Alan Wert, Newville and Ronald (Sheryl) Wert, Shippensburg; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Mohler and sister, Lulu Dick, both of Carlisle.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her infant children, Alice Marie, Donald Eugene and Gary Quintin; daughter-in-law, Carol Wert and 5 sisters and 1 brother.
A private viewing and service will be held at the convenience of the family. Kathryn will be laid to rest beside her husband, George at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
