Kathryn E. Hunt

Kathryn E. (Metz) Hunt 93, of Carlisle, died Tuesday March 5, 2019 at the Thornwald Home Carlisle, with her loving family at her side.

She was born September 8, 1925 in Carlisle to the late John R. and Kathryn F. Knepp Metz, Sr. and was the widow of Warren J. Hunt.

Kathryn retired from the former Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg, PA. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. Family meant the most to Kathryn. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, working on word puzzles and she enjoyed all kinds of pets (Dogs and Cats).

She is survived by three sons; Gary W. and wife Alice of Boiling Springs, David K. and wife Carla of Reinholds, PA and Steven J. and wife Susan of Carlisle, two daughters; Yvonne K. Hunt of Harrisburg, Rebecca M. Malone of Mechanicsburg and a sister, Florence M. Conley of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Private funeral services will be held in the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle. There will be a private family viewing at the funeral home with services to follow. Interment will be private in the Mt, Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kathryn’s name may be made to The Care Fund at the Thornwald Home 442 Walnut Bottom Road Carlisle, PA 17013 or to Furry Friends Network PO Box 519 Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
