Kathryn Ann Greenisen

July 17, 1936 — March 13, 2013

Kathryn Ann (Ferrall) Greenisen passed from this life on March 13, 2013 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Walter Candel and Kathryn Althea (Donbar) Ferrall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Leland Greenisen, Jr.
Kay was a long-time resident of Salem, OH. She was an honorary alumnus of Salem High School, class of 1954. Her family moved to Little Rock, AR, in her junior year of high school. She graduated from Little Rock High School.
Kay was a pianist from an early age. She played over twenty years for Peace Lutheran Church in Okeechobee, FL. She enjoyed her time with children at Wee Little Lambs Day Care, Mt Holly Spring, PA, Carlisle YMCA, and other day care facilities in the Carlisle, PA, area. Most recently Kay volunteered her time at the Salem Historical Society, Salem, OH.
Kay was the mother of three sons: Jeff Greenisen of Woodbridge, VA: Tim Greenisen of San Antonio, TX; and Scott (Julie) Greenisen of Boiling Springs, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Salem, OH.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay’s name to the Salem Historical Society, 208 South Broadway, Salem, OH 44460 or Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 251 South Broadway Avenue, Salem, OH 44460.
