Kathleen M. Walters

Kathleen M. Walters, age 80, of Newville passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 in Green Ridge Village, Newville, PA.
She was born April 29, 1937 in Carlisle to the late Harry Laughman and Helen G. (Crum) Duprey, and had been married to the late Gerald E. Walters, Sr. who passed January 18, 1982.
Kathleen retired from the Kinney Shoe Corp in Carlisle after 37 years of dedicated service. Kathleen loved crafting, bowling, and spending time with her loving friends and especially her family.
She is survived by: one son, Gerald E. Walters, Jr. of Newville; one daughter, Vicky L. (husband Joseph) Carbaugh of Newville; four brothers, Harry A., George, Jerry, and Richard Laughman; three sisters, Sylvia Brandt, MaryLou Shumaker, Nancy Moomaw; two granddaughters, Christina (husband Andrew) Bobb, and Kelsey Carbaugh; and three great grandsons, Mason, Lucas, and Cael.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Laughman.
According to the family’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory to help defray funeral expenses.
