Kathleen M. Shoenfelt

Kathleen Marie Burnish Shoenfelt, 46, died at her home in Newville on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011.

She was born Jan. 27, 1965, in Reading, a daughter of Linda Reinoehl Jones and the late Marshall R. Burnish.

She was employed by Donut Connection and Global Enterprise Home Health Care. She liked archery, fishing, photography and music. Kathleen also loved gardening.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of five years, David Carl Shoenfelt of Newville; stepfather, James E. Jones of Carlisle; three children, Brooke (Chestnut) Hurley and her husband Michael of Carlisle, Justin Chestnut and Dawn M. (Chestnut) Rhoades and son-in-law Earl Rhoades of Newville; one sister, Michelle M. (Burnish) Bouch and her husband Chris M. of Carlisle; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall R. Burnish, and her brother, Steven William Green.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug, 12, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Brother Ed Dorsey officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
