Karol W. Ladka, 82, of Carlisle, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Sarah Todd Memorial Home.
Karol was born in Queens, NY on December 11, 1932 to the late Stanley and Victoria (Sieminski) Ladka.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He retired as a truck driver for UPS, NY. He was a former member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Riverhead, NY. Karol was an avid Notre Dame and New York Yankees fan. He loved to read all types of newspapers, traveling, hiking and camping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. (Smith) Ladka; three sons, Ronald J. (and wife Donna) Ladka of White River Junction, VT, Robert C. (and wife Suzanne) Ladka of Jamestown, NC and Richard F. (and wife Jacqueline) Ladka of Dodge City, KS; one sister, Florence Kowalzick of Riverhead, NY; eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
