Karl Synder

Karl E. Snyder, 62, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his home.
Born June 8, 1949 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Karl S. and Mary Jane Duncan Snyder.
He was a graduate of Wilson College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Carlisle Jaycees and a member of the Brethren In Christ Church where he serviced as an usher and deacon. Karl was former president and coach of South Middleton Youth Soccer Association. He volunteered for the Red Cross and also volunteered his professional services to complete tax returns for needy families. He enjoyed time with his family and participating in and watching sporting events.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Sharon Snyder of Carlisle; one son, Eric Snyder (and wife, Crystal) of Mechanicsburg; one daughter, Janel Snyder of Carlisle; one grandson, Landon Snyder; and one sister, Lois Delp of Emmitsburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Evan Andrew Snyder.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Brethren In Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle with Rev. Alan Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday.
