June Clara Weller

June Clara Weller, 79, of Newville, died Oct. 22, 2013 at her residence. Born Sept. 24, 1934 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna Mae Noaker Monismith.

She retired from the Cumberland County Prison after serving 19 1/2 years as a guard. June was formerly a member of Kennedy Valley Church of God where she was the church custodian and the president of the ladies group. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Karla June Roberts (and husband, David) of Newville and Vonnie L. Jones (and husband, Steve) of Carlisle; one son-in-law, Gary Morrow of Landisburg; one daughter-in-law, Linda Swigert of NJ; three sisters, Isabelle Franklin (and husband, Robert) of Carlisle, Mabel Monismith of CA, and Iva Piorkowski of CA; and one brother, Lee Monismith (and wife, Rosemary) of CA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 25+ great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, John W. Swigert, John F. Conrad and Melvin Weller; three sisters, Evelyn, Virginia and Ruth; two brothers, Charles and Lester; one son, John Edward Swigert; and one daughter, Debra K. Morrow.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Helen Pinder officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, 1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle on Monday, Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m.
