Joyce R. Naugle, 80, of Carlisle, on September 6, 2012 went to be with her Lord and Savior, who welcomed her with open arms, and said to her, “Well done good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.â€Â.
Born April 28, 1932 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Jacob L. and Laura E. Lebo Zell and the widow of Harvey B. Naugle, Jr.
She formerly worked for Mt. Holly Sewing Factory and for many years thereafter, performed housekeeping duties for many local families. She was a member of the Pinchot Park Assembly of God Church, Wellsville, where she attended Bible Study. Joyce was a member of the Women’s Aglow Fellowship, Dillsburg. She loved shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to eat out at restaurants that served home cooking and family style dining.
Surviving are three children, Vickie Burkholder (and husband, Stanley) of Dillsburg, Julie Pandolfi of Harrisburg, and Jimmie Naugle of Camp Hill; six grandchildren, Christal, Brian, Alysha, Gage, Zane, and Colin; and five great-grandchildren, Melea, Anica, Tanner, Adara, and Noah; two sisters, Vonny Zumbrum and Gloria Myers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy Imes officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
