Joyce George

Joyce L. George, 87, of Carlisle, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1924 in Marysville, she was a daughter of the late John R., Sr. and Lillie M. Nester King.
She graduated from Marysville High School in 1942. Joyce was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Arthur C. George of Carlisle; three sons, Arthur C. George, Jr., (and wife, Felee) of Winnemucca, NV, Gary P. George of Carlisle and Darryl E. George of Camp Hill; two daughters, Lorraine Hileman, (and husband, Jeffrey) of Shippensburg and Donna McGowan (and husband, Richard) of Newville; one brother, Wayne King of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, John R. King, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at North Middleton Church of God Cemetery, Carlisle with Rev. D. Alan Mathna officiating.
