Joy Lee Griffith

Joy Lee Griffith, age 71, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born March 31, 1946 in Carlisle to the late J. Leslie and Ruth A. (Rowe) Wilson.
Joy was a 1964 graduate of Carlisle High School and a 1965 graduate of the Harrisburg Hospital Certified Laboratory Assistant program.
She is survived by: her husband of 51 years, John H. “Jack” Griffith of Carlisle; three sons, Steven A. (wife Tracy) Griffith of Carlisle, David A. (wife Lynn) Griffith of Reading and Brian J. (wife Amy) Griffith of Manchester, MD; ten grandchildren, Lindsy J., Drew W., Zachary D., William M., Nicholas J., Camille A., Joshua G., Veronica J., Tyler J. and Jacob E. Griffith; and two sisters, Patricia E. (husband Barry) Fisher of Middletown and Judy M. (husband K. Lee) Myers of Carlisle. In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by a sister, Linda K. Kutz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey and Rev. Gerald P. Fogarty S.J. con-celebrating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or to the Carlisle Lions Club, PO Box 321, Carlisle, PA 17013.
