Joseph W. Baric, age 83, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle with his loving family by his side.
He was born February 17, 1934 in Carlisle to the late John F. and Leona (Patterson) Baric.
Joseph retired from AMP after 25 years of service. He was a former member of the North Middleton Fire Company and Special Police. He was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church. Joe was an avid hunter, who enjoyed hunting pheasant, rabbit, deer and bear. His loving family meant the most to him, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by: his wife of almost 65 years, Beulah I. (Lay) Baric of Carlisle; two daughters, Deborah J. (husband Arthur) Christopher of Boiling Springs and Ketha M. Lehman of Carlisle; six grandchildren, Michael (wife Ashley) Christopher, Matthew (wife Sara) Christopher and their children, Ava, Abigail and Autumn, Brett (wife Heather) Christopher and their children, Caroline and Madeline, Patrick (wife Janelle) Williams and their children, Colby, Cooper and Hudson, Adam (wife Amber) Williams and their son, Brayden, and Alicia (husband Bryan) Wentz and their daughter, Savannah. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Steve P. Motter officiating. Burial will follow at Waggoners United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA and at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
