Joseph Jakubowski

Joseph “Uncle Hippieâ€Â Jakubowski, Jr., 61, of Carlisle, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home.
Born July 18, 1951 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Janet Paxton Jakubowski.
He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1970. Joseph was an active member of the special police and North Middleton Fire Company and also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle.
Surviving are his daughter, Sommer Johnson of Carlisle; one brother, Jeffrey Jakubowski (and wife Jennifer Ramsey) of Mt. Holly Springs; one sister, Jill Sharrer (and husband, Stephen Winter) of Carlisle; three nephews, Jeffrey Jakubowski, Jr. of Enola, Jason Jakubowski of Carlisle, and Christopher Sharrer of Carlisle; and two grandchildren, Hunter Hefflefinger and Courtney Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating. A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
