Joseph D. Shemuga

Joseph D. Shemuga, 83, of Mechanicsburg died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
Born June 10, 1930 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Joseph and Susan Ulicne Shemuga.
He retired from Equitable Gas after over thirty-five years of service. Joseph was a US Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Jean A. Shemuga of Mechanicsburg, one daughter, Anita Meredith (and husband, Michael) of Boiling Springs, one son, Gary J. Shemuga (and wife, Sue) of Medway, MA; one brother, Rudolph Shemuga of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Eleanor Bachmann of Indianapolis, IN and Carol Sedei (and husband, Wayne) of Clayton, NC; and one granddaughter, Nicole Meredith, Boiling Springs. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Dustin Meredith.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116. Burial will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
