Jonathan Thomas Kuhn

Jonathan “JT” Thomas Kuhn, 16, of Carlisle, passed away while surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 4, 2019 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born February 14, 2003 in Harrisburg to Toby L. and Jennifer A. (Donovan) Kuhn.
Jonathan will be remembered most for his infectious smile, positive attitude, and gentle giant persona. He loved sports, nature, and family. Both on and off the basketball court he displayed passion and enthusiasm in everything he would do. His kindness and generosity were evident in his volunteerism and mentoring of kids. Jonathan had aspirations to become a teacher and sports coach. He would want his legacy to continue by making others smile and appreciating life’s every moment.
In addition to his loving parents, Jonathan is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline M. Kuhn (fiancé Patrick Dellinger) of New Cumberland, and Jess A. Kuhn of Carlisle; maternal grandparents, COL Ret. Robert T. and Anne Marie Donovan of Carlisle; paternal grandparents, James Kuhn of Lebanon and Patricia Galloway of Newville; four uncles, William (wife Lisa) Donovan of Carlisle, Robert Donovan of Virginia, Gregory (wife Kim) Kuhn of Carlisle and Randy (wife Melinda) Kuhn of Mechanicsburg; three nieces, August, Charli and Gracie; Trevor Donovan and several other cousins; and his beloved dog, Lilly. JT was preceded in death by his uncle, Thomas V. Donovan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Our Lady of the Visitation, 305 N. Prince Street Shippensburg, PA 17257 with Rev. Dwight C. Schlaline as celebrant. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Westminster Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of JT to Furry Friends Network, P.O. Box 519 Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
