John R. Donsen

John R. Donsen, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, PA formerly of Boiling Springs, died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA.
Born June 10, 1933 in Gettysburg, PA, a son of the late Herman and Edna Hummer Donsen.
He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1953. He retired after forty years of service from the former McCoys Electronics, Vectron International. He was a former member of the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle. John was a US Army veteran who serviced in the Korean War. He was a member of the Boiling Spring Investment Club. He was a member of the Winross Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed all sports, photography, gardening and most of all the time spent with his loving family, especially his two grandsons.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Sandra L. Moyer Donsen of Mt. Pleasant, PA and one son, Douglas Donsen and his wife, Tracy (Rozik) and their children, Parker and Trevor of New Stanton, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Chris Schwab officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2104 at the funeral home.
