John P. Calhoun

Colonel (Retired) John Calhoun, 76, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, July 20th, 2023.

Born in Washington, D.C., John was the son of the late Paul and Elwyn (Butcher) Calhoun and husband of 42 years to Sandy (Bunch) Calhoun.

John is survived by his wife Sandy, sister Kitty, son John Jr. and his wife Emma, son Taylor and his wife Emily, grandsons Samuel, Jacob, and Noah, and faithful golden retriever sidekick, Lexi.

John was an avid golfer, active member in the community, and a member of The Carlisle Elk’s Club. After a distinguished 30 year military career, John began his own consulting business, CC Enterprises, LLC., where he continued to serve the military within in the private sector.

The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
