John L. "Jack" Mulgrew, 81, of Carlisle died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.
Born September 23, 1931 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late William Francis and Myra Barron Mulgrew.
He formerly owned and operated a Christmas tree farm in Susquehanna County. Jack was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. He enjoyed hunting big and small game as well as water fowl. He also loved archeology. He was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Virginia Mulgrew and Patricia Mulgrew and three brothers, William, Edward, and James Mulgrew.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Patrick Shrine Church, 140 East Pomfret Street, Carlisle with Rev. Aloysius Kelley S. J. as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Carlisle.
