John I. “Jack” Bushey, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Thornwald Home.
He was born May 25, 1935 in Harrisburg to the late John L. and Mildred (Gallagher) Bushey.
Jack completed his undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg University and earned his master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a senior professor of Psychology at HACC from 1964 until his retirement in 1997. Jack was an outdoorsman who enjoyed bicycling, hiking and maintaining hiking trails throughout Pennsylvania. He was an avid reader with interests in an expansive range of topics.
Jack is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna L. McKain of Carlisle; two sons, Shawn E. Bushey of Scottsdale, AZ and Todd A. (wife Teresa) Bushey of Chandler, AZ; three stepchildren, Charles J. McKain of Carlisle, Kelly A. (husband Paul Simpson) McKain of Charlotte, NC and Todd W. McKain of Barcelona, Spain; three grandchildren, and one sister, Nancy Hauck of Canton, OH.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
