JoAnn E. Burkholder

JoAnn E. Burkholder age 91 of Carlisle, PA., passed away at the Thornwald Home on January 17, 2025. 

She was born in Carlisle, on Tuesday January 9, 1934, to Floyd M. and Mary C. (Boldoser) Rutz. 

JoAnn graduated from Carlisle High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Newville Church of the Brethren. 

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband John L. Burkholder, two daughters: Karen L. (husband Michael “Mike”) Morrison of Carlisle, Kim L. (husband William “Bill”) Yinger of Newville, three grandchildren: Michelle (husband Brad) Grenoble, Andrew (wife Melissa) Morrison, Brian (wife Shelby) Yinger and five great grandchildren: Bryce, Corinne, Maddox, Marleigh and Mathias. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Doris Jones. 

Private burial will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
