Jesusa G. “Susan” Santos, 59, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 10, 2023, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
She was born January 5, 1964, in Makati City, Philippines to the late Felino and Pacita (Ramirez) Garcia.
Susan was a devout catholic with an unwavering faith who attended mass daily. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. Susan and her husband were planning a trip to the Vatican that she will unfortunately miss. She was always generous and kind to anyone she came in contact with. Susan loved singing, she was a member of her church choir in the Philippines and was contracted to sing for weddings and funerals. She was passionate about fashion, interior decorating, cooking, and travel. Susan was a gifted makeup artist and would often be called on by family and friends for assistance when they had an important event to attend. Most of all Susan loved her family. She was a model daughter and a loving wife, mother, and sister.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Randy D. Santos of Carlisle; two sons, John Christian Santos and John Matthew Santos both of Carlisle; and two siblings, Felino Garcia Jr. and Mario Garcia both of the Philippines. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by four siblings, Pedrito, Victor, Froilan, and Anthony Garcia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 East Simpson Street Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Rev. Thomas J. Rozman as celebrant. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Susan to ANCOP USA, PO Box 5965, Buena Park, CA 90622 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
