Jeremy Ronald Thumma

Jeremy Ronald Thumma, 44, of Newville, PA; entered the world on Saturday, October 15, 1977, in Carlisle, PA. His loving parents are, his father Ronald (Buck) Thumma of Newville, PA, and his mother (late) Karen Chronister of Churchtown, PA. Jeremy joined our lord and savior on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10:00 am. He was cared for in the CTICU at Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital. He had an amazing care team during his stay.

Jeremy was a loyal full-time security officer with Securitas in Middletown, PA. He also worked part-time at McDonald’s in Shippensburg, PA. Jeremy was so happy and proud working as a security officer; this past March (2022) he was awarded his five-year anniversary pin. He truly loved what he did. You could tell that he truly LOVED what his job and the company that he worked for.

Jeremy loved all movie and music genres, the Philadelphia Eagles, WWE, WWF, ghost hunting, and video games. He also loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. Jeremy also cherished and was so proud of all his nieces and nephews, and family in general.

Jeremy will forever be loved and missed by his father, Ronald Thumma, and wife Patricia Thumma. His son, Aiden Hirschelman, 18. His eldest brother, David J Thumma, 50, and wife Bonita Thumma. His eldest niece, Jewel Blase (Thumma) and husband Scott Blase. His great nephew, Tanner RW Depew. As well as his nephew, David JC Thumma, and Wife Ashley Thumma. Great niece, Nora Thumma, and great nephew, Easton Thumma. Step nephews, Michael, and Greg Kell, as well as step niece Lily Kell and nephew Isaac Kell.

Middle brother, Brad Thumma, 48, and wife Ami Thumma, along with niece Alyssa Thumma. Youngest, and only sister, Becky Thumma, 41, and significant other Charles Deihl, along with nephews, Wyoming Bucher, and Eli Deihl. Nieces Mackenzie Neal and husband Robert Neal; great nieces Autumn and Khloe. Another niece, ChyAnne Bucher and fiancé Levi Hippensteel; along with great nephew, Layne, as well as a step-brother, Dwayne E. Wagner.

In addition to his mother, Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Pauline Thumma, Walter and Lois Chronister, and Cousin Donald Thumma.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 W. Trindle Rd Carlisle, PA. 17013. A Celebration of Life Service in honor of Jeremy will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren 170 Church Rd in Carlisle with a visitation for family and friends held one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial and Committal services will follow at the Church Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the Burial at the Church. In Lieu of Flowers you may make a Memorial Contribution in Memory of Jeremy to help his son Aiden to the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren 170 Church Rd Carlisle, PA. 17013.
