Jeremiah Cox, 66, of Carlisle died Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home.
Born November 22, 1946 in Harlan, KY, he was a son of the late William Edward and Etta Lorene Hensley Cox.
Jeremiah graduated from Union College, Barbourville, KY in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He worked for the Department of Transportation, Richmond, VA and for the Virginia Science Museum, Richmond, VA. He was a talented musician who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Jeremiah was a member of Mensa and a member of the Religious Society of Friends.
Surviving are two brothers, William Eugene Cox (and wife, Joyce) of Jonesboro, TN and Jimmy Everette Cox (and wife, Glenna) of Carlisle.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Friends meeting house, 252 A Street, Carlisle.
