Jennie "De-dee" Hocker

Jennie “De-dee” Hocker, age 94, passed away on August 23, 2024, at the Thornwald Home in Carlisle, PA.

De-dee was born in Upper Mifflin Township on Monday September 16, 1929, to the late Harvey Finkenbinder and the late Mary (Oiler) Sheeley. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church and graduated from Newville High School Class of 1946. 

She is survived by her son Keith (wife Janet) Hocker of Carlisle, PA., daughter Lisa (husband Howard) Dew of Dunkirk, MD., two grandchildren: Jason (wife Kathleen) Hocker and Ryan (wife Paige) Hocker, four great grandchildren: Owen, Ridley, Callaway and Palmer and a brother David Sheeley. 

She was preceded in death by John H. Hocker, sister Laura Ellen Starry and brother Marlin Sheeley. 

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Pastor William Pipp will be officiating.
