Jeffrey Ryan Lanham

Jeffrey Ryan Lanham, 49, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born June 2, 1974, in Wurzburg, Germany to Billy Gene and Beverly Ann (Buechley) Lanham.

Jeff was a 1992 graduate of Carlisle High School. He graduated from Millersville University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. Jeff was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, the Pirates, the Steelers, and the Penguins. He was passionate about running, he ran track and cross country and played basketball in high school and as an adult, he ran numerous marathons. Jeff always looked forward to trips to the beach in Outer Banks with his family. He enjoyed grilling, being outdoors, and driving his Corvette. Jeff would often play word games like words with friends, scrabble, wheel of fortune, and crossword puzzles to name a few. More than anything, Jeff loved his family and the time he spent with them.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Lanham of Carlisle; two children, Lily and Austin Lanham; one aunt, Barb (husband Pat) Emmett; and two uncles, Barry (wife Sharon) Buechley and Don (wife Marie) Lanham. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Patrick Lanham.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Daniel Mikesell officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeff to The Jeffrey Ryan Lanham Memorial Fund to assist with the cost of his children’s future education.  Checks may be mailed to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
