Jeanne T. Bowers

Jeanne T. Bowers, age 71 of Carlisle, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
She was born April 8, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late Owen W. Jr and Evelyn (Chiles) Thomason.
On June 8, 1968 Jeanne was married to John H. "Jack" Bowers, the love of her life. It is of great comfort to her family that they have now been reunited as he preceded her in death on January 20, 2016. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Jeanne served the community for many years at the James Wilson Safe Harbor in Carlisle and was an active member of Carlisle United Methodist Church and the Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown, SC. She was always pleased to call Pawleys Island, SC her second home and spent many summers there with her beloved family.
She is survived by two children, Amy (and husband Kevin) Wilson of Marietta, GA and Sam Bowers (and wife Nicole) of Dublin, OH; and five grandsons, Jack, Owen, Sammy, Noah and Ben.
Services will be held on Pawleys Island, SC in June 2017.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle United Methodist Church, 45 S. West Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
