Jeanne Milesend

Jeanne A. Milesend, 92, of York Springs, passed away on April 5 at Country Meadows of West Shore Nursing Home, Mechanicsburg.

Born January 10, 1933 in Milton, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred Saunders.

Jeanne was a graduate of Westwood High School, MA. Was married to a US Marine Corp Sergeant and Erie Insurance Adjuster, Robert Trutt, for 23 years and moved to Lake Worth, FL to be closer to her parents and brother and lived there for 38 years. She moved to PA when her partner, John Bell, passed to be nearer to her children in 2018.

She had been employed as a Records Specialist for Palm Beach Community College for 16 years. She enjoyed going on cruises with John, especially on the Queen Elizabeth II. In her spare time, she loved bowling, bingo, crocheting and card/board games and often organized these events.

Surviving are two daughters and one son: Linda Long (Jeff), of York Springs, Cheryl LaMaster (Michael), of Gardners and Robert Trutt, Jr (Donna), of Carlisle. Jeanne will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, nieces, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Per our mother’s request, there will be no viewing or memorial service. Following cremation, her final request is to have her ashes scattered at sea.
