Jeanne A. Hoover

Jeanne A. Hoover, 80 years of age of Carlisle, died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence with loving husband and niece by her side.
She was born in Hogestown, PA on April 7, 1939 to the late Arthur F. and Annie Ellen Snyder Putt.
Jeanne had worked as a secretary for a Harrisburg law firm and as the secretary for the former Town and Country Store Warehouse in Camp Hill. Jeanne had also worked at the Dunham Medical Health Clinic at the U.S. Army War College here in Carlisle. She was a member of Wesleyan Church of the Cross, Carlisle and a graduate of Cumberland Valley H.S. Jeanne was an avid reader of Nora Roberts novels, she was very active in the Gettysburg Chapter of the AACA Car Club and served on many committees with the club and its car shows and tours.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Ronald F. Hoover of Carlisle, a brother, Donald Putt of Enola and a sister, Roberta Putt Traynor of Lewisberry and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John A. Putt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Wesleyan Church of the Cross 430 B St. Carlisle with her pastor The Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
