Jean Star (Hilton) Trombly, age 77, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 23, 1938 in Gloversville, NY to the late Seldon and Louise Farrington Hilton.
Jean was a graduate of Cobleskill Technical Institute (SUNY). She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Jean traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe with her husband and children. She was one of a few civilian women to sit in the cockpit of a F117 Stealth Fighter jet and was a viewer of the first Space Shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral, FL. She was a cat lover, enjoyed cooking, sewing, doing puzzles, reading and family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Col. Dennis (Joe) Trombly (USAF Ret.) of Carlisle; son, Daniel (and wife Heather) Trombly; a daughter, Jennifer (and husband Cliff) Mayes; grandchildren, Danielle and Cody Reese; brothers, James (and wife Cathie) Hilton and Robert Hilton; and several nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Jean's Life will be held in the family's home.
