Jean Marie Jiron

Jean Marie Winters Jiron, 55, formerly of Arizona, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her residence in Carlisle.
She was born in Cheverly, MD on January 8, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Melvin Eugene and Ruth Ann Fessler Winters.
Jean was a former goldsmith and jewelry craftsman. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle and was very active in the Rainbow Gatherings. Jean Marie loved to work in her garden, camping and was a very free spirited woman. She will be sadly missed by her two dogs, Bandita and Buddha.
She is survived by a brother, William (and wife Janet) Winters of Harrisburg; two sisters, Sharon (and husband Larry) Shindel of Hershey and Roberta Drayer of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Michele C. Bordner.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Patrick Shrine Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle with the Very Reverend William C. Forrey as celebrant.
Interment will be in West Virginia at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 to help defray the cost of services.
