Jean M. Smith

Jean M. Smith, 84, of Carlisle, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born August 4, 1930 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Bert L. and Mildred C. Campbell Woodward and the widow of William L. Smith, Sr.
She worked for Dickinson College Snack Bar and Valley Pride Bakery as a waitress. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. She was an avid shopper.
Surviving are two sons, William L. Smith, Jr. of Duncannon and Martin B. Smith of Carlisle; one grandson, Joseph L. Smith of Lock Haven; one granddaughter, Jennifer A. Smith of Harrisburg; one sister, Linda L. Wilson of Carlisle; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Woodward of Mt. Holly Springs. She was preceded in death by one sister, Maealma H. Armolt and one brother, Jack L. Woodward.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be held at the Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
