James W. Peffer

James W. Peffer, 91, of Carlisle passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side.

Born on February 4, 1928 in Centerville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Parker and Lena (Conrad) Peffer.

James proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was a graduate of Dickinson College and enjoyed all types of sports. James was a family man, great husband, loving father and a hard worker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia (Goodyear) Peffer; son, Douglas of Carlisle; daughter, Candi of Carlisle; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Per James’ request, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
