James Michael Norcross Sr., 63, of Carlisle, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born March 17, 1948, in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Arthur Edward and Elizabeth Ann Foust Norcross.
He was a 1966 graduate of Johnstown High School and received an associate degree in business from Cambria-Rowe Business College, Johnstown. He loved to cook and was a former volunteer for the Carlisle High School Band Boosters. James was well known for his love
of animals.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Mary A. Norcross of Carlisle; one son, James Norcross Jr. of Steelton; one sister, Jean Ann Krissinger (and husband, John P.) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and also three beloved dogs, Rosie, Daisy Mae and Meena and one grand-dog, Bart.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline as celebrant. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
