James Macdonald Knox Jr.

James MacDonald Knox Jr., age 77 of Carlisle, passed away April 25, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 4, 1942 in Brownsville, PA, son of the late James MacDonald Knox Sr. and Katherine G. (Yeager) Knox.
James was an accountant for General Repair Services for many years before his retirement. He was very active in the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital, volunteered at Project Share, the Cumberland County Historical Society and Susquehanna Service Dogs. James was an avid photographer and loved to read, camp, hike and do genealogy.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Elizabeth (Flynn) Knox, Carlisle, PA; daughters, Marnie Anderson and husband, Charles, Carlisle, PA and Lorie Taylor, Clarion, PA; grandchildren, Erin Anderson, Atlanta, GA; Kate Anderson, Carlisle, PA; Sarah Taylor, Lebanon, NH and Joshua Taylor, Clarion, PA. He is also survived by his sister, Lynn Behun, Morganton, NC and nieces, Beth Spahn, Martha Hudak, Jennifer Behun and Marianne Titler and their families.
James was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Todd Taylor and brother-in-law, Matthew Behun.
