James H. Woodall, 86, Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle, died Friday October 10, 2014 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born May 5, 1928 in Venus, TX, the son of the late William H. and Bertha Morgan Woodall.
James was a truck driver working for the former Atkinson Trucking, Phila, Pa., C.H. Masland and Sons, Carlisle and retired from SKF Industries of Shippensburg. He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God and the Adult Sunday Class of Carlisle. Mr. Woodall was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. Jim was an avid fisherman but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Geraldine L. Deitch Woodall of Cumberland Crossings, three sisters, Pauline Jenkins, Arlington, TX, Effie "Nell" Gonsoulin, Houston, TX and Ann Crow (Roy), Granbury, TX, and two sisters-in-law, Jean A. Deitch Heishman (Stewart) and Patsy E. Deitch Lichtenberger (John) both of Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Chuck Kish and Rev. John Castelloni officiating. Private burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with full military Honors by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a visitation from 10: 00 am Wednesday until the time of the services in the funeral home.
