James E. “Cowboy” Duncan, 68, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born June 5, 1952 in Carlisle to the late John A. and Mary E. (Dick) Duncan.
Jim enjoyed a 47-year career delivering concrete at N L Minich & Sons Inc. Cowboy was a longtime member of Bonny Brook Riding Club where he looked forward to the annual 3 day trail ride. He loved his family, horses, and watching cowboy movies.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Glenda M. Duncan of Carlisle; three daughters, Tonia Barclay of York, Jamie (husband Kevin) Wilson of Newville, and Ashley (husband Caleb) Burkholder of Carlisle; two granddaughters, Kira and Emma Wilson; four siblings, Mary (husband Gary) Page of Perry County, Betty Bentz of Perry County, Earl (wife Maxine) Duncan of Perry County, and Clara (husband Ron) Finkey of Carlisle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Johnny, Mildred, Donny, Pearl, and Charlotte.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
