James E. Asch, 79, of Harrisburg and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Spring Creek Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born May 6, 1941 in Carlisle to the late Edward and Sarah (Finkey) Asch.
James was 1959 graduate of Carlisle High School. He was always proud to have been a licensed insurance agent. James retired from the former AMP, Inc. after 32 years of employment as a machine assembler. He loved to spend his free time fishing, golfing, bowling in leagues at Midway and playing games with his children and grandchildren.
James is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosalie W. Asch of Harrisburg; one daughter, Sedina C. Lupfer of Steelton; one son, James E. (wife Judith) Asch Jr. of Carlisle; one sister, Margaret Morrow of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Brandon S. (wife Tabitha) Lupfer of Harrisburg and Nichole (husband Jeff) Burton of Enola; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brynlee, and Aubrey Burton and Jordan Lupfer; and his canine companion, Buster.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Road Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
