Jacqueline A. Lau

Jacqueline A. Lau, 57 of Newville, PA, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at UPMC Carlisle. She was born January 16, 1964, in Pisa, Italy to the late Edward A. and Maria R. (Peviani) Lawrence.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 37 years Jeffrey D. Lau, children Timothy P. (Emma) Lau of O’Fallon, Missouri, Steven M Lau (husband Nick Wolf) of Shippensburg and Samantha M. Lau of Newville, grandsons Wyatt, Jacob and Connor and brother Robert (Karen) Lawrence of Berlin, MD. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward B. Lawrence and sisters Patricia A. Lawrence and Elizabeth J. “Liz” Lawrence.

Jacqueline loved her family and always tried to do the best for them. She was the youngest of five children, a loving and devoted wife to Jeff, and a caring and compassionate mother to her children. In her spare time, Jacqueline could often be found tending to her garden, and enjoying nature. Her compassion was always evident with her love of animals as well as the big engulfing hugs she was known to give out regularly. She was known for her unique sense of humor, compassionate nature, slight stubbornness, and her tenacity for life. Jacqueline’s other interests included going hunting for antiques, discovering her ancestry, and creating crafts. She enjoyed traveling, with a particular love for the beach and the vast openness of the mountains.
