Jackie L. Menz

Jackie L. Menz, 70, of Carlisle passed away on July 17, 2022 at her home. Jackie was born to parents, Jack and Helen Cline, on May 21, 1952, in Columbus Ohio. She was the second of eight children, and is survived by her six sisters, Kathy Gothard, Vicki Miller, Cindy Saving, Kristine Strawser, Connie McKee, and Molly Bukky, and her brother Kurt Cline.
Jackie was born again as a believer in Jesus Christ at age 13 following a week at Scioto Hills Bible Camp in Wheelersburg, Ohio. She believed, “that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16), and lived a life characterized by faith, love, and self-sacrifice.
Jackie met her husband of 46 years, Paul Thomas Menz, in January of 1976 at Clintonville Baptist Church in Clintonville, OH. They were married on October 23, 1976 and were blessed by four children, Rachel Rade, Joseph Menz, Sarah Black, and one who died in the womb and is now reunited with her in glory.
Jackie and Paul moved to Carlisle, PA, in November of 2016. They are members of Bible Baptist Church in Shiremanstown, PA and enjoy the love of family and friends who live in the area.
Jackie was a faithful wife, loving mother, pleasant host, creative fabric artist, home-schooler, terrific cook, and a lovely bride. She was a woman who exemplified the ideal set forth in Proverbs 31. All who knew her, particularly her husband Paul, were blessed and encouraged. Even in the midst of her eleven year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Jackie’s sweet spirit, engaging sense of humor, and patient endurance shone through as an example to those who knew her.
As it says in the Biblical book of Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death.” That is why we are left to mourn Jackie, our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. This same verse ends, “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” That is why we rejoice in the knowledge that Jackie is now in the presence of her LORD, Jesus Christ in Heaven. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church, 201 W. Vine St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011. Viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00AM until viewing time. Interment will be in Letort Cemetery.
