Iris M. Lucas

Iris M. Lucas, age 90, of Boiling Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at her home with her family at her side.
She was born March 1, 1927 in Teddington, England to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lee and was the widow of Philip H. Lucas who passed September 11, 1982.
Iris and her late husband, Philip, owned and operated the former Lucas Service Center in Mechanicsburg for over 35 years. She was a former member of the West Shore Evangelical Free Church and had been active in the Mechanicsburg Senior Citizens. Iris mostly enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by: two daughters; Iris S. Burton of Carlisle and Brenda J. Lucas of Boiling Springs; a brother, George Lee in England; two grandsons, Gary L. Shearer, Jr and Philip A. Shearer; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Iris was preceded in death by: a son, Thomas E. Lucas; a brother, Albert Lee; and three sisters, Doris Brown, Vera Kennett and Eve Lee.
Respecting Iris’ wishes, there will be no visitation or services. A private graveside service will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
