Hope Ficalora

Hope Ficalora, 97, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Thornwald Home.
She was born November 4, 1923 in Idaville to the late Raymond and Emma (Humes) Myers. Hope was the widow of Frank Paul Ficalora to whom she had been married for 66 years before he passed in 2011.
Hope was a graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life but was also employed by the former Carlisle Ribbon Mill. Hope was a beautiful woman inside and out who loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Valarie (husband Robert) O’Connor of Royersford; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ficalora of Carlisle; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, and Savannah O’Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Hope was preceded in death by her son, Nils Ficalora and four siblings, Phyllis Kempf, Lenora Warner, Mae Chronister, and Ray Myers.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Letort Cemetery with Pastor Mark Ruzicka officiating.
