Herbert E. Weston, Jr.

Herbert E. Weston, Jr., of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle at the age of 94. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Merle and Evelyn Lishman Lehman. He was the loving husband of the late Martha (Herr) Weston.

Herbert was a member of the West Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Co., Plainfield Lions Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299, Carlisle. Following high school, he worked as a mechanic for Rufe Chevrolet for more than 20 years, later working as a truck driver for Agway for several years and then Carlisle Cement Co., retiring at age 65.

Surviving are two sons, Dennison Weston (wife Chris), of Shippensburg; and Darryl Weston (late Bianca Giannotti), of Brookhaven, PA. Also surviving are a foster sister Geraldine Lehman, of Newville, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and 13 step-great-grandchildren. Herbert was preceded in death by his brother Donald Weston, Foster Brother Fred Lehman, along with two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with the Rev. Marlin Herr officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service and also the evening before from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
