Herbert L. (Herbie) Calaman

Herbert L. "Herbie" Calaman, 77, of Carlisle, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born August 26, 1937 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Merle and Evelyn Davis Calaman.
He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class 1956. He formerly worked at Arnold Motor for twenty-five years then, he retired after twenty-five years from Graham Motors, Carlisle. He was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church and a member of Cumberland Star Lodge #197 F&AM, Newville. He was an avid stamp collector.
Surviving are his wife of twenty-eight years, Ruby F. Raudabaugh Calaman of Carlisle. One son, Brian Calaman (and wife, Pauline) of Montana; one daughter, Kathleen Rockmore (and husband, John) of California; three step-sons: Ritchie Gayman of Carlisle; Glenn Gayman (and wife, Andrea) of Carlisle and Edward Gayman Landon of Kansas; two sisters: Esther Ocker of Carlisle and Sylvia Morston of Allentown; three grandchildren: Gerald, Sarina and Kristan; three step-grandchildren: Gwenn Keene, Colby and Parker Gayman Landon; one step-great-grandson, Nathaniel Keene.
Private services will be held at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. James E. Van Zandt officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
