Herbert "Herbie" Frazer Jr.

Herbert “Herbie” Frazer Jr., 58, of Carlisle and formerly of New York, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at his residence.
He was born October 2, 1961 in New York City, NY to the late Herbert and Lena (Long) Frazer.
Herbie worked for the Local 46 Ironworkers Union in New York from the time of his high school graduation until he retired in 2016. He loved people and seeing everyone happy. When Herbie finished a union job, he would go back to the union hall to find another job. If he was told there was no more work, he would tell them to let his wife and kids know why they couldn’t eat. This was just one example of his great sense of humor and how he was always making people laugh. Herbie was currently employed by Lowes in Carlisle where he made many friends over the past few years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Curtis Frazer of Carlisle; two daughters, Shakeema (husband Brian) Lowe of New York and Torikah Frazer of Carlisle; one step-daughter, Leah Carter of New York; six grandchildren; two siblings, Beverly Timmons of New Jersey and Duane (wife Pam) Frazer of New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and one niece. In addition to his parents, Herbie was preceded in death by Guyta (Julius) Frazer who lovingly raised him as his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with his teammate for life, Deacon Franklin Julius officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
