Henry F. Lik, 80 of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1944 at St. James Hospital in Elmhurst, Queens, NY to Frank and Jean Lik of Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY.
He attended St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Grade School, Boys High School, and received his Associate's degree in electronics from Voorhess Technical Institute. He was drafted into the US Army and trained as a surveyor later to serve in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. During his time serving he was awarded two Purple Hearts. Upon Leaving the Army, Henry went on to work for the NYPD and was promoted to the rank of Detective.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (nee Schrader); sister Christine Kamplain, two daughters Jennifer Griffin (husband James) and Katherine Chavez (husband Mariano); six grandchildren: James, Ryan, Ellison, Aubrey, Tessa, Sydney and daughter-in-law Tamara. He was preceded in death by his son James Lik.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at Hoffmann Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Father Chiedozie “Dozy” Ononuju will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Henry’s ashes will be dispersed in San Francisco Bay.
