Henry Banks Casner

Henry Banks Casner, 80, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born October 26, 1932 in Juniata County, he was the son of the late Banks Edward and Irene Lauver Casner and the widower of Helen G. Shearer Casner.
Henry retired as a crystal cutter for Motorola, Inc. with over thirty years of service. One of his many hobbies was small engine repair. He enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family and he loved his dog Bam Bam. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are five children, Melvin Brownawell (and wife, Kim) of Newville, Richard Brownawell (and wife, Mary) of Newville, Henry Brownawell of Carlisle, Susan Darr (and husband, Dave) of Carlisle, Gregory Casner (and his companion, Amber Foley) of Harrisburg; three sisters, Phyllis Beaston of Carlisle, Joann Fensterbush of Carlisle, Doris Reed of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Decker; one sister; and four brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
