Helen G. Morrow, 92, of Carlisle, died Friday, March 1, 2013 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born July 15, 1920 in Newport, she was a daughter of the late Calvin S. and Bertha O. Reisinger Moose and the widow of James M. Morrow.
She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, graduating with her grandson, Eric Morrow. She was a member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Sunday School, Ladies Aid, and served on various committees. She worked at the Carlisle Early Education Center as the cook. She also worked at the Carlisle Shoe Factory for many years and the Pezo Crystal and GS Electric, and Fashion Bug, all of Carlisle. She was also a member of the Union Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Carlisle.
Surviving are three sons: Ronald L. Morrow (and wife, Loretta Rupp) of Carlisle, William M. Morrow (and wife, Jean McKelvey) of Newville, and James C. Morrow (and wife, Leona Lee) of Parkville, MD; daughter, Helen Bender (and husband, Donald L.) of Carlisle; also daughter-in-law, Edna Lohman Morrow; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Deemer L. Morrow; daughter, Shirley Enck; grandson, Tony Lee Wolfe; great-grandson, Josh Wenger; and four sisters, Grace Nicholas, Anna Hockenberry, Gertrude Hockenberry, and Arvilla Line. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Earl Moose.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Jan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice for All Seasons for the loving care shown to their mother during her stay there.
