Helen C. Kelley

Helen C. Kelley, 61, of Carlisle died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born August 5, 1950 in Bedford, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Helen C. Sill Kelley.
She was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School, Saxton. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Elizabethtown College in education and a Master’s Degree from Penn State University in education. She was a teacher for Newville Elementary School, Dillsburg. She was a member of the Church of God. She was an avid Penn State football fan. She loved to shop and travel with her friends, especial to New York City at Christmas time. She had a passion for teaching and after retiring she tutored reading.
Surviving are one brother, John R. Kelley of West Chester, two cousins, Norman Sill of Chesapeake, VA and Stephen Kachman (and his wife, Cathy) and their children William and Zachary Kachman of Bedford.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in Bedford Cemetery, Bedford.
