Harvey Leven Haynes, age 70, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his residence to join his wife, Karen R. Ream Haynes, who passed October 7, 2015 in Eternal rest.
He was born on August 9, 1945 in Carlisle, PA to the late Harvey and Betty Johnson.
Harvey retired a pallet builder at PPG Industries and formerly worked at Rufe Chevrolet and Carlisle Tire & Rubber. He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1963, a former member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boiling Springs and a former member of the Carlisle Jaycees. Harvey's passion was collecting and dealing antiques, but most of all, spending time with his family was first on his list.
He is survived by three sons, Michael L. Haynes of Plattsburg, NY, Matthew L. Haynes of Carlisle and Kory L. Haynes of Marion, IN; three daughters, Michelle L. Bouder-Malloy and husband, William Malloy Sr. of Carlisle, Kristina L. Mallin of Newport and Kelly L. Haynes of Bloomsburg; two brothers, Richard Rudy of Carlisle and Edward Rudy of Middletown; a sister Eileen Rudy of Enola; and a special friend and guardian angel, Kelly Nickle of Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his loving dog, Baby Huey.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Great Hope Baptist Church, 110 Fern Avenue, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dale Barrick, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
