Harry F. Kelso

Harry F. Kelso, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle with his family by his side.
He was born in Penn Township, Cumberland County, PA on March 4, 1917 to the late Fulton S. and Della Mae (Cockley) Kelso and was the widower of the late Ailie Mae (Fraker) Kelso who passed May 2, 1998 after being married for 57 years.
Harry lived in Huntsdale, PA most of his life and was a member of the Centerville Lutheran Church. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army in the Western Pacific at the end of the war. He was employed by C. H. Masland and Sons for most of his working career.
He is survived by two sons, Harry E. (and wife Linda) Kelso of Carlisle and Glenn R. (and wife Vonda) Kelso of Newville; two daughters, Nancy K. (and husband Ray) Fetterolf of Halifax and Darlene A. (and husband Gerald) Thumma of Shippensburg; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miriam Barrick of Carlisle. In addition to his parents and his wife, Harry was preceded in death by a brother, Merle F. Kelso; a sister, Helen M. Wyrick; and his step-mother, Loretta Mae (Goodhart) Kelso.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Jerri Morton-Carlin officiating. Interment will be at Centerville Memorial Park with full military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
